1. Missie & Doel

JustBSocial.eu is een Europees, privacy-first sociaal netwerk waar menselijke interactie belangrijker is dan algoritmes, advertenties, surveillance en data-extractie. Het doel is om betekenisvolle digitale gemeenschappen mogelijk te maken zonder uitbuiting, datamining, gedragsmanipulatie of gedwongen afhankelijkheid van big tech-platformen.

Dit Community Charter & Bylaws document legt de waarden, beschermingsmaatregelen, bestuursprincipes, financieringsaanpak en continuïteitsafspraken van JustBSocial.eu vast.

2. Kernprincipes

  • Privacy by Default — geen tracking, profiling of dataverkoop.
  • Datasoevereiniteit — in de EU gehost, AVG/GDPR-compliant en door de gebruiker beheerd.
  • Mensgericht Sociaal — geen engagement-algoritmes of AI-manipulatie.
  • Community boven winst — geen aandeelhoudersdruk richting uitbuiting.
  • Transparantie — werking, financiering en bestuur moeten begrijpelijk en open zijn.
  • Overdraagbaarheid — gebruikers moeten hun data kunnen verlaten, exporteren of verwijderen waar technisch mogelijk.
  • Digitale autonomie — het platform ondersteunt onafhankelijke, Europese en communitygerichte online infrastructuur.

3. Niet te koop verklaring

JustBSocial.eu is niet opgezet als toekomstig verkoopobject. Het platform is gebouwd als alternatief voor grote sociale netwerken waar gebruikers vaak betalen met hun data, aandacht en afhankelijkheid.

Het platform mag niet worden verkocht, overgedragen of omgevormd op een manier die gebruikersrechten verzwakt, gebruikersdata exploiteert, surveillance-advertenties invoert of de community verandert in een commercieel data-asset.

Elke toekomstige overdracht van het project, domein, de code of operationele verantwoordelijkheid moet dit charter respecteren en de privacy-first, community-driven missie van JustBSocial.eu behouden.

4. Bestuur & Governance

JustBSocial.eu wordt beheerd via community-inbreng, transparant beleid en een operationele steward-rol. De community kan verbeteringen, wijzigingen en nieuwe functies voorstellen via open discussie.

4.1 Oprichtingssteward

Het platform heeft een oprichtingssteward die verantwoordelijk is voor continuïteit, waarden, veiligheid, technische richting en bescherming van de missie. Zolang het platform grotendeels door één persoon wordt onderhouden, behoudt de oprichtingssteward het uiteindelijke beslissingsrecht.

Deze rol bestaat om het platform te beschermen tegen afdrijven van de missie, ongewenste overname, uitbuitende verdienmodellen of besluiten die de privacy en het vertrouwen van gebruikers ondermijnen.

4.2 Community Council

JustBSocial.eu kan een adviserende communitygroep oprichten onder de naam jbs-council. Deze council denkt mee over belangrijke besluiten en helpt de lange termijn missie van het platform te bewaken.

De jbs-council kan adviseren over:

  • Privacy en databescherming
  • Moderatie en veiligheid
  • Continuïteit van het platform
  • Financiering en duurzaamheid
  • Belangrijke beleidswijzigingen
  • Toekomstige juridische vormen zoals een stichting of coöperatie

In de eerste fase heeft de jbs-council een adviserende rol. Als het platform groeit, kan deze rol formeler worden vastgelegd.

4.3 Communityparticipatie

Leden mogen:

  • Verbeteringen en beleidswijzigingen voorstellen
  • Problemen of veiligheidskwesties melden
  • Deelnemen aan gemodereerde discussies
  • Moderatie-aanbevelingen doen
  • Meedenken over de toekomstige richting van het platform

5. Continuïteit & Stopprotocol

Omdat JustBSocial.eu op dit moment grotendeels door één oprichter wordt gedragen, moet continuïteit open worden geregeld. Als de oprichtingssteward ooit moet stoppen, langdurig uitvalt of het platform niet meer kan beheren, geldt de volgende intentie:

  • Gebruikers worden zo vroeg mogelijk geïnformeerd.
  • Gebruikers krijgen de mogelijkheid om hun data te exporteren of te verwijderen waar technisch mogelijk.
  • Code, documentatie en operationele informatie worden waar mogelijk voorbereid op verantwoorde overdracht.
  • De community, de jbs-council of een onafhankelijke stichting/coöperatie krijgt de eerste kans om het platform voort te zetten.
  • Verkoop aan een partij die gebruikersdata wil exploiteren wordt uitgesloten.
  • Als voortzetting niet mogelijk is, wordt het platform netjes en zorgvuldig afgebouwd.

Het doel van dit protocol is simpel: als JustBSocial.eu niet onder het huidige beheer kan doorgaan, moeten de community en haar data alsnog met zorg, transparantie en respect worden behandeld.

6. Moderatie & Gedrag

Gedrag op het platform moet respectvol, niet-misbruikend en mensgericht zijn. De volgende zaken zijn niet toegestaan:

  • Haat, bedreigingen, intimidatie of gericht misbruik
  • Spam, bots, massaberichten of platformmanipulatie
  • Data-harvesting, scraping of het maken van schaduwprofielen
  • Plaatsen van illegale inhoud volgens EU- of Nederlands recht
  • Desinformatiecampagnes of gecoördineerde beïnvloeding
  • Pogingen om privacy-, veiligheids- of moderatiesystemen te omzeilen

7. Rechten & Privacy

Persoonsgegevens worden verwerkt volgens de AVG/GDPR. Leden hebben het recht om:

  • Hun eigen data in te zien
  • Hun data te exporteren waar technisch beschikbaar
  • Verwijdering van hun account te verzoeken
  • De zichtbaarheid van posts en profielvelden te beheren
  • Te verwachten dat hun data niet wordt verkocht of verhandeld

8. Geen Algoritmische Manipulatie

JustBSocial.eu gebruikt geen systemen die gedrag manipuleren, zoals eindeloze engagement-feeds, automatische winstranking of dopamine-optimaliserende aanbevelingssystemen. De tijdlijn is van de gebruiker en niet geoptimaliseerd voor winst.

9. Platformfinanciering & Duurzaamheid

JustBSocial.eu opereert zonder surveillance-advertenties, gedragsprofilering of dataverkoop. Voor duurzaamheid gebruikt het platform een gemengd financieringsmodel dat past bij Europese waarden.

9.1 Financieringsstromen

  • EU-subsidies & publieke financiering — via programma’s zoals CEF Digital, Digital Europe, NGI, Horizon Europe, EIC, Erasmus+ en nationale of regionale innovatiefondsen.
  • Vrijwillige donaties — leden kunnen het platform steunen zonder paywalls of sociale privileges.
  • Ethische sponsoring — organisaties kunnen ontwikkeling ondersteunen zonder trackingrechten of invloed op gebruikersdata.
  • Niet-surveillance zichtbaarheid widgets — organisaties kunnen transparante widgets tonen zonder tracking, profiling, cookies, remarketing of gedragsgerichte targeting.
  • Communitybijdragen — scholen, groepen en communities kunnen bijdragen aan hosting, onderhoud of ontwikkeling.

9.2 Geen uitbuitende modellen

JustBSocial.eu zal nooit data verkopen, gebruikers profileren voor advertenties, trackingcookies toestaan, real-time advertentieveilingen gebruiken of psychologische engagementtrucs inzetten.

9.3 Toegang & prijzen

Betaalde zichtbaarheid widgets, supporter-modellen of communitybijdragen moeten transparant zijn en niet gebaseerd zijn op surveillance-statistieken. Betaling moet het platform ondersteunen, niet leiden tot oneerlijke macht over de community.

9.4 Europese waarden

Financiering sluit aan op GDPR, ePrivacy, de Digital Services Act, de Digital Markets Act en de bredere Europese strategie voor digitale soevereiniteit.

10. Wijzigingen in dit Charter

Dit charter kan in de tijd evolueren. Wijzigingen worden openbaar aangekondigd en ter bespreking aangeboden aan de community. Zolang het platform zich in de oprichter-geleide fase bevindt, behoudt de oprichtingssteward het uiteindelijke beslissingsrecht om de missie te bewaken.

1. Mission & Purpose

JustBSocial.eu exists as a European, privacy-first social network where human interaction takes priority over algorithms, advertisements, surveillance, and data extraction. Our mission is to enable meaningful digital communities without exploitation, data mining, behavioral manipulation, or forced dependency on big tech platforms.

This Community Charter & Bylaws document defines the values, safeguards, governance principles, funding approach, and continuity intentions of JustBSocial.eu.

2. Core Principles

  • Privacy by Default — no tracking, profiling, or data resale.
  • Data Sovereignty — EU-hosted, GDPR-compliant, user-controlled data.
  • Human-Driven Social — no engagement algorithms or AI manipulation.
  • Community Over Profit — no shareholders pushing the platform towards extraction.
  • Transparency — operations, funding, and governance should be understandable and open.
  • Portability — users should be able to leave, export, or delete their data where technically possible.
  • Digital Autonomy — the platform supports independent, European, community-focused online infrastructure.

3. Not For Sale Statement

JustBSocial.eu was not created as a future acquisition target. It was built as an alternative to large social networks where users often pay with their data, attention, and dependency.

The platform may not be sold, transferred, or repurposed in a way that weakens user rights, enables user data exploitation, introduces surveillance advertising, or turns the community into a commercial data asset.

Any future transfer of the project, domain, code, or operational responsibility should respect this charter and preserve the privacy-first, community-driven mission of JustBSocial.eu.

4. Governance Model

JustBSocial.eu is managed through community input, transparent policies, and an operational steward role. The community may propose changes, improvements, and features via open discussion.

4.1 Founding Stewardship

The platform has a founding steward responsible for continuity, values, safety, technical direction, and mission integrity. The founding steward holds final decision authority while the platform is still primarily maintained by one person.

This role exists to protect the platform from mission drift, hostile takeover, extractive business models, or decisions that would undermine the privacy and trust of users.

4.2 Community Council

JustBSocial.eu may establish a community advisory group under the name jbs-council. This council helps review important decisions and protects the long-term mission of the platform.

The jbs-council may advise on:

  • Privacy and data protection
  • Moderation and safety
  • Platform continuity
  • Funding and sustainability
  • Major policy changes
  • Future legal structures such as a foundation or cooperative

In the first phase, the jbs-council has an advisory role. As the platform grows, this role may become more formal.

4.3 Community Participation

Community members may:

  • Propose improvements and policy changes
  • Raise concerns or safety issues
  • Participate in moderated discussions
  • Suggest moderation actions
  • Help shape the future direction of the platform

5. Continuity & Stop Protocol

Because JustBSocial.eu is currently mostly carried by one founder, continuity must be addressed openly. If the founding steward ever has to stop, becomes unavailable for a longer period, or can no longer manage the platform, the intended protocol is:

  • Users will be informed as early as possible.
  • Users will be given the option to export or delete their data where technically possible.
  • Code, documentation, and operational information will be prepared for responsible transfer where possible.
  • The community, the jbs-council, or an independent foundation/cooperative will get the first opportunity to continue the platform.
  • A sale to a party that wants to exploit user data is excluded.
  • If continuation is not possible, the platform will be closed down carefully and responsibly.

The goal of this protocol is simple: if JustBSocial.eu cannot continue under its current stewardship, the community and its data must still be treated with care, transparency, and respect.

6. Moderation & Conduct

Behavior on the platform must remain respectful, non-abusive, and human-centered. The following are not permitted:

  • Harassment, hate speech, threats, or targeted abuse
  • Spam, bots, mass messaging, or platform manipulation
  • Data harvesting, scraping, or creating shadow profiles
  • Posting illegal content under EU or Dutch law
  • Disinformation campaigns or coordinated influence operations
  • Attempts to bypass privacy, safety, or moderation systems

7. Data Rights & Privacy

All personal data is handled in accordance with the GDPR. Members retain the right to:

  • Access their own data
  • Export their data where technically available
  • Request deletion of their account
  • Control the visibility of posts and identity fields
  • Expect that their data will not be sold or traded

8. No Algorithmic Manipulation

JustBSocial.eu does not use behavioral manipulation systems such as infinite engagement feeds, automated profit-driven ranking, or dopamine-optimizing recommender systems. Your timeline is yours, not optimized for profit.

9. Platform Funding & Sustainability

JustBSocial.eu operates without surveillance advertising, user profiling, or data monetization. To ensure long-term sustainability, the platform uses a mixed funding model consistent with European values.

9.1 Funding Streams

  • EU Grants & Public Funding — from programmes such as CEF Digital, Digital Europe, NGI, Horizon Europe, EIC, Erasmus+, and national or regional innovation funds.
  • Voluntary Donations — community members may support the platform without paywalls or privileged social status.
  • Ethical Sponsorships — organisations may support development without tracking rights or influence over user data.
  • Non-Surveillance Visibility Widgets — organisations may display transparent widgets without tracking, profiling, cookies, remarketing, or behavioral targeting.
  • Community Contributions — schools, groups, and communities may contribute to hosting, maintenance, or feature development.

9.2 No Exploitative Models

JustBSocial.eu will never sell data, profile users for ads, permit tracking cookies, run real-time bidding, or deploy psychological engagement optimizers.

9.3 Pricing & Access

Paid visibility widgets, supporter models, or community contributions must be transparent and not tied to surveillance metrics. Payment should support the platform, not create unfair control over the community.

9.4 Alignment With EU Values

Funding should align with GDPR, ePrivacy, the Digital Services Act, the Digital Markets Act, and the broader European strategy for digital sovereignty.

10. Changes to This Charter

This charter may evolve over time. Changes should be announced publicly and opened for community discussion before adoption. The founding steward maintains final decision authority while the platform is still in its founder-led phase, in order to preserve mission integrity.
