We've now completed our first week at the pub and what a fantastic week it has been. We've had the pleasure of meeting so many lovely people, sharing stories, hearing memories of the pub and, most importantly, being made to feel incredibly welcome by the community.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has called in for a drink, popped in to say hello, offered words of encouragement or simply stopped for a chat. Your support has meant a great deal to us.

Our vision for The Surrey Arms Inn is simple: we want it to be a true community pub once again. A place where everyone feels welcome, where friendships are made, where local groups can meet, where people can relax and enjoy themselves, and where the pub becomes a focal point for the whole community.

Over the coming weeks and months you'll see new community initiatives, clubs, events and activities being introduced. From our Silent Book Club and Book Swap to Chess Nights, Board Games, Pool, Darts, Open Mic Nights and much more, we want there to be something for everyone.

We believe a community pub should serve the majority of the community, not the minority, and our aim is to create a welcoming, friendly and inclusive venue that local people can be proud to call their own.
