'Rembrandt van Rijn - De Nachtwacht'

If there is one famous painter from the Netherlands, it is Rembrandt (or is it van Gogh?). Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn was born in Leiden on 15 July 1606 (or 07) and died in Amsterdam on 4 October 1669. He is one of the most important painters of the 17th century, and also a very prolific one; he painted around 300 paintings, 300 etchings and 2,000 drawings.
The Night Watch (see below, painted in 1642) is perhaps his most famous work.

This is a wonderful idea from @jcrispimromao

I may just be dreaming awake... but ... what if each one of us would share some art work representative of his/her own country, being either art, poetry, performing arts? Maybe, just maybe, we could make ourselves create a dynamic of approaching cultures... I say this because I belong to a peripheral european country and I sense most people across Europe do not know much about us, appart from the Discovery times.
