When I click "translate post" it seems to translate it to Dutch, unless it is Dutch, then I might get English.

I'm new here 😃. Most of the menu items are in English, but some of the settings and menus are in Dutch or possibly Afrikaans (lots of aa). Is this a glitch, a setting or normal?
Howiewow Catha show off
Catha Eh.. why? I write in dutch to not forget my mothertongue, im english because most people understand english and spanish because that's what people speak where i luve. Not dutch and not english...
Howiewow Catha show off, because you speak more than 1 language 😂😂
Catha Ah i see. Well... even more than 3 😅
Catha Howiewow Since your mothertongue is Emglish, why should you learm another language if you dom't have to, right?
In the Netherlands and part of Belgium, people speak Dutch (and a small part also Frisian. 🙃). But, with Dutch language, it is hard to do business outside those countries. So i the Netherlands most people also learn English, and/or French and/or German. And some highschools even offer Spanish.
Belgium has 3 official languages. Besides Dutch (Flemmish - not realy a language, more like a based on old dutch dialect -) also French and German. Speaking one of the 2 last languages is easier in finding a job in Belgium, so most Fremmish also speak French or German as second language.
So, having lived and worked in both countries, i had to speak more than just Dutch (although i already loved French at highschool).
Due to holydays - and later living in Spain - I started learning Spanish, and for fun some Russian. Of which i lost most of the knowledge due to not using it though. 😉
