At The Surrey Arms, we are committed to providing a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for our customers, staff and visitors.

To help us achieve this, we operate a strict ZERO TOLERANCE policy towards:
❌ The use of illegal drugs
❌ The possession of illegal drugs
❌ The sale or distribution of illegal drugs
❌ Anti-social behaviour
❌ Abusive, threatening or intimidating behaviour towards our staff or customers

Anyone found using, possessing, selling or distributing illegal drugs on our premises will be immediately removed from the pub, permanently barred, and the matter will be reported to the police. Where available, CCTV footage and any relevant evidence will be provided to assist with any investigation.

In addition, anyone arriving at or remaining on the premises while smelling strongly of cannabis/marijuana may be refused service and asked to leave. We have a duty to ensure a pleasant environment for all customers and staff, and strong drug-related odours can negatively impact the experience of others.

As a proud member of the local Pubwatch scheme, individuals whose behaviour causes concern or who commit serious offences may also be nominated for a wider Pubwatch exclusion, preventing them from entering other participating licensed premises.

The vast majority of our customers are respectful, friendly and simply here to enjoy themselves. This policy exists to protect them, our staff, and our community.

At Moorlands Pub Company, the new Management here at The Surrey Arms Inn, the safety of our customers, staff and community is a priority.
That's why all of our venues operate a Challenge 25 policy.

If you're lucky enough to look under 25, you may be asked to provide valid photographic identification when purchasing alcohol or other age-restricted products.

Accepted forms of ID include:

✅ Photocard Driving Licence
✅ PASS Accredited Proof of Age Card
If you cannot provide valid ID when requested, we will be unable to serve you.
It's really that simple:

Please don't be offended if our team asks for identification – they're simply doing their job and helping us comply with licensing laws.
