I’ve been promoting Microsoft’s digital tools in education since the SkyDrive days in 2005. For years, I did this voluntarily — not because I was paid or instructed, but because I believed deeply in the value for schools and students.
In the last few years, that commitment has started to feel one-sided. Product changes, confusing policy shifts, and price increases — especially in personal Office 365 — are pushing education in the wrong direction. With the current political and regulatory climate in the United States, that shift feels even more worrying.
For the first time, I’m seriously transitioning toward open-source alternatives for schools. Not out of resentment, but because Microsoft’s strategy no longer aligns with what education needs.
so i started my own cloud with Collabora online, local Libreoffice and Linux

@dansant i expressed it wrong. I can't fins the right way to say what i meant, right now.
I know private groups are private, and i don't rember seeing a grouppost of a group of which i am not a member passing on my timeline.
