At Moorlands Pub Company, we are committed to ensuring that our venues are safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces for everyone.
That is why we proudly support both the "Ask for Angela" and "Ask for Clive" campaigns.
💜 Ask for Angela is a nationally recognised safety initiative designed to help anyone who feels unsafe, vulnerable, threatened, harassed, or uncomfortable whilst on a date or during a social occasion. By discreetly asking a member of staff for "Angela", our team will understand that you need assistance and will help you leave the situation safely or provide support as required.
💙 Ask for Clive is a similar initiative aimed at supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community who may feel vulnerable, unsafe, threatened, or at risk whilst socialising. By asking for "Clive", you can discreetly alert our team that you require assistance, and we will act appropriately to ensure your safety and wellbeing.
Our staff receive guidance on how to respond sensitively and discreetly to anyone seeking help through these schemes.
More importantly, you do not need to use either phrase to ask for help. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, intimidated, threatened, or simply need support whilst visiting one of our venues, please speak to a member of staff in confidence. We will always do our best to assist you.
A pub should be a place where people come together, make memories, and enjoy themselves—not somewhere where they feel vulnerable or alone.
