@dansant i read a lot of different news pages, but used to read/watch cnn too. Not anymore.
Sources: find out of they have a local reporter. (Although research doesn't seem to be one of the tasks of journalism)

xanika En wat als we ook de Big Tech 24 uur niet gebruiken? Dus ook niet je Android met Google telefoon of iPhone of je Windows laptop.
Maar ook niet je Gmail/Outlook/Hotmail adres.
Dat is pas een uitdaging.

Thuis zou ik zelf zonder Big Tech kunnen, op voorwaarde dat de post en kranten weer 6 dagen per week worden bezorgd.
Pas in mijn tienertijd kregen we thuis TV en een vaste telefoon. De rest kwam eerst op mijn werk en daarna pas schafte ik het privé aan.
Het grootste probleem is m.i.:
Alle supermarkten, vrijwel alle andere winkels en vrijwel alle overheidsdiensten, banken, OV, gas/electriciteit/water etc. draaien op Big Tech.

@xanika dat is doenbaar. Met een atlantische storm zelfs geen enkel probleem want dan hebben we toch amper tot geen connectie. Niet met internet en niet met de telefoon(mast). 😂
1 van de dingen die dan ook persé mee moest toen we verhuisden was een grote doos met bord/tafel spelen. Met een dag slecht weer of gewoon een gezellige (zon)dag: tv op radio, gsm in de berging en spel op tafel. Van kleins af, en met partner voortgezet.
En met mooi weer: buiten! Terras opzoeken, gsm op niet storen en onderin de sjakos, en écht babbelen, met de mensen zelf.
Weet je wat ik daardoor ondervonden heb? Vrienden van niet dichtbij blijken dan ineens geen echte vrienden, want 'je antwoord vaak zo laat' ... triest hoe de wereld naar 'nú!' verandert... )
