🇳🇱✨ Tomorrow is Prinsjesdag – a uniquely Dutch tradition where the King delivers the “Speech from the Throne” and the government presents its plans and budget for the coming year. Think of it as our annual political New Year’s kick-off, complete with hats, pageantry, and a golden carriage (sometimes 😉).
This year adds a little twist: we’ve got a double caretaker (demissionary) cabinet. In other words, not one but two outgoing governments still holding the fort while we wait for the new one to be formed. Only in the Netherlands can democracy be this… patient and pragmatic.
So grab your hat, tune in for the pomp, and let’s see what tomorrow brings on Prinsjesdag! 🎩📜👑

En Prinsjesdag belooft eigenlijk nooit veel goeds.
Sterrenlicht @redegelde @ElisahInWonderland Van mij hoeft het allemaal niet. Als je alleen al hoort wat de stad schoonmaken kost, absurd gewoon. Het is pure geld verspilling. Ik erger mij ook aan de peperdure kleding van Máxima. Terwijl ontzettend veel mensen niet eens een normale maaltijd kunnen kopen, of kleding. Het is niet meer van deze tijd. Waar veel gezinnen zorgen hebben of ze het huis nog warm krijgen de komende winter.
